Matt Pond--If I Only Had A Brain: I am a husband, a father, a motivational speaker, a musician and a performer. I am a survivor!! In 2006 I began a battle with brain cancer, a journey I never thought I would take. In the process I was divorced and fighting to see my boys as well as fighting for my life. In many ways, cancer saved my life! I lost my ability to read, write, and the use of my right side. I had to relearn to read, write and do things with only my left hand. In the process I have had to rely on my Heavenly Father. I am closer to him as a result of what I have experienced. I no longer have bad days. I have good days and better days, life is a blessing. I am happily remarried and we have 4 great boys that are truly my life; Morgan, Boston, Nixon and Jepson. I am a better person because of my cancer. My greatest hope is that my story will help others to have courage and faith in their own trials regardless of the outcome.
